Sprinkle Bakes: Colorful Spiral Cookies @ 11:21 AM

just made these cookies and let me tell you, this dough was truly a joy to work with. not to mention the cookies are so festive and fun. the one thing is i didnt have strawberry extract on hand so i decided to take a different route and squeeze fresh lemon juice into the half portion that was suppose to have strawberry instead.  there are going to be some lucky people receiving some yummy cookies. :) thank you heather for the recipe and pictures.

cabin weekend @ 10:14 PM

wow. what a great weekend. i went up to my cabin with patrick and laura. i had so much fun and it was a great relaxing weekend. we got a late start on friday but we got up there and went to my other cabin first. we had some speghetti and stayed until 3 am playing spades and drinking wine. i havent laughed that hard in a long time. we came back to the other cabin and it was freezing so we lit a fire and got some sleep. the next day we went into spooner and drove around a bit. that night we went to crow bar and played some giant jenga and ended up hanging out there that night. it was a shame to come home the next day.

today was a blessing. @ 9:15 PM

I think I definitely had one of the best days in a long time today. london and I got up and made special dough and put hand prints in it. baked it so it was hard. painted them and made ornaments. she had so much fun with it that I decided not to stop and we baked all day and made cut out ginger bread cookies and banana bread. yum.. tomorrow I am headed up to the cabin with my wife and my boyfriend for some spades time and relaxation. and best of all. big news.. one of my close friends gill finally had her baby today. she named him preston and he looks just like her. I haven't even met him and I love him already.

happy halloween @ 8:25 PM

well looks like i got back in town from great grandma thompsons funeral in st. james just in time to do some serious trick or treating.
ill start with talking about st. james a bit. we drove in yesterday and checked into the st. james hotel around 330. i was so tired i even fell asleep on the way there on the two hour drive. once we were checked into the hotel we headed on over to the stern funeral home for the wake and visitation. london was all over the place. man, was it alot of work. finally i left with london around 7 and we did two hours of swimming and hot tubbing at the hotel. by this point i was so tired and so was she so we went up to the hotel room and turned on the tv and little miss fell right asleep. my family came back to the hotel too but decided to hang out in the lobby and drink and play games. its times like that where i wish i didnt have to watch a kid sleep so i could spend some time with my family but i ended up watching tv and crashing around 1130 i was so tired. we woke up in the morning and headed to the funeral but once again london wasnt wanting to be in there so i mostly just sat outside the church. around 2 we FINALLY headed back home. (yes, st. james is by far the most boring town ive ever been to)
we got back here and went trick or treating.. london was a little candy hustler. haha. she would say trick or treat and they would give her candy and she would keep holding out her basket like she wanted more. it was so funny. we got so much candy and she was the cutest damn bumble bee anyone has ever seen!

about
you think you know me.

hi. im lauren. i live in a small town in minnesnowta and i love it here. there are very few things i cant live with out and its simple.. internet, phone, friends, and mountain dew. i can be sarcastic, impatient, and a little blunt at times. i can get wayyy out of control, and at times am very hard to handle. but if you cant handle me at my worst then you sure as heck dont deserve me at my best.
